Partnership of Adults and Children Team

PACT is a non profit organization that seeks to protect, inspire, encourage, empower and support adults and children through various initiatives. For the public benefit, to foster understanding, awareness, togetherness and digital inclusion amongst Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic BAME, young people over 16 and vulnerable adults in the UK community to close the gaps in digital access and skills in particular but not exclusively.

   Our mission statement

PACT works with local communities to highlight the plights of individuals by bringing the issues to the public domain, so they have the knowledge of what is taking place. Therefore, increasing support of our work. This is evidenced by the live streaming videos and actions that our team carries on all our social media platforms.
We also emphasis on the notion that one must gain skills to enable them to come out of poverty.  We do not provide “a give a fish” approach, but a fishing rode as a tool to empower people for sustainability.

Our Story

PACT  was formed in September 2017 by the founder members Doubt (Dehwa) Chimonyo and others after witnessing the challenges faced by Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic BAME, young people over 16 and vulnerable adults in the UK community. It became apparent through the focus group discussion that inherent fear of digital inclusion and digital skills existed among the groups. The main impact on this vulnerable group was the creation of an unfair society where lack of access to the digital world and the relevant skills, stopped some from accessing the main services in fast-growing digital. Pact’s emphasis then focused on increasing the digital uptake to enhance greater equity, and opportunities for economic and social growth  to the Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic BAME, young people over 16 and vulnerable adults in the UK community
